Anyone interested in helping preserve Girl Scout history is invited to join Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas's (GSSWT) History Committee.
The idea to establish a History Committee for GSSWT came about from members of the Order of the Silver Trefoil (OST) -- members of the Girl Scout Alumnae Association -- who were interested in the collection and preservation of items related to the history of Girl Scouting in the region.
The committee meets regularly at the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center in San Antonio, and welcomes your assistance in sorting, researching, and cataloging items. Not able to join? Please consider donating Girl Scout memorabilia to the organization or contributing needed supplies for the committee's work -- see Wish List:
- #2 pencils
- White art erasers
- Post-it notes (all sizes)
- Uniball pens, black
- Micron Pigma pens
- Index box/index cards/dividers
- Gain detergent, non-scented
- Thank you notes
Donations may be dropped off any time during regular office hours at the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center, or you may bring donations to the History Committee meetings. A special thanks to the OST for its generous contribution to the History Committee to help purchase supplies.
