Join your sister Girl Scouts as we march together in San Antonio’s annual MLK March. In 1956, Martin Luther King, Jr. described Girl Scouts as “a force for desegregation.” Girl Scouts has a strong history of inclusion and diversity and we would like to showcase our movement at this inspirational event.

Who: All Girl Scout members and their families

When: Monday Jan. 15 at 9 a.m.

Where: Gather at the flag pole at the East Side Boys and Girls Club (3503 MLK Drive, SATX 78220) 

Attire: Girl Scout uniform. We encourage parents and volunteers to wear a Girl Scout shirt. Remember to dress for the weather.  

Parking is available on neighborhood streets; however, we recommend taking the FREE VIA bus service. http://www.viainfo.net/2018/01/04/ride-via-free-martin-luther-king-jr-day-march-january-15/

Cost: Free

GSSWT staff members will be on-hand, you can’t miss us as we will be carrying 10 three foot green signs that spell out Girl Scouts. Please bring water and snacks (not provided) for your Girl Scout/troop and remember to follow all safety activity checkpoints.
