Debra is the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analytics for USAA. In this role she has three main areas of responsibility: enterprise expense management, integrated planning and forecasting and enterprise underwriting and pricing. She is responsible for aligning expenses with revenue and product generation, promoting cost transparency, instilling cost management discipline in business decisions, and providing value added customer tools, analytics and recommendations. As a USAA employee, Debra spent several years in leadership positions supporting the investment management company, financial planning services and new member solutions as well as serving as treasurer to the USAA Mutual Fund Board from June 2005 to February 2008. Prior to joining USAA in 1998, Debra was in public accounting with Price Waterhouse in San Antonio where she supported various industries including investments and financial services companies. Debra is a 1996 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio, after transferring from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is a certified public accountant and a licensed Series 27 Financial & Operations Principal. Debra is married to Brian and has a daughter, Elizabeth, who attends Texas Tech University, and a step-son Cory. Debra enjoys volunteering and participates in the “Reach Out To Drop Outs” and the “Read to the Children” programs.
