Born and raised in Oklahoma, Jaren has a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Management from Baylor University. She joined H-E-B in January of 1986 as a Management Trainee and has served in many roles including store operations, human resources, marketing and sales (she is known as being H-E-Buddy’s Mom, as she developed and implemented the H-E-B’s Kids Marketing program), and was promoted into her current role in July 2000. As the Vice President of Customer Service, Jaren is responsible for creating the overall customer service strategy for H-E-B as well as design, implementation and execution of Central Checkout Processes. Jaren’s passion is developing partners and growing H-E-B’s brand as a customer-focused company. She is an active supporter of United Way (serving as the H-E-B chair in 2004 and co-chair 2013) and has served on the board of directors for the Waco Food Bank, Daughters of Charity Services, American Red Cross, San Antonio Zoo and Board of Trustees and Executive Committee for the San Antonio Children’s Shelter. Today, she serves as a board member for GSSWT and Silver Sage Community Center. Jaren and her husband, Eric (a 34-year H-E-B partner!) enjoy spending time with their five-year-old daughter Onna and five cocker rescue kids: Sooner, Smoke, Switzy, Sami and Shevy.
