Erin Magee, Excellence of Commitment
Erin is on several different committees and has met each of those responsibilities with positivity and professionalism. She ensures the best quality program for our girls, is a go getter and one of the hardest workers in the council. She has brought inventive and exciting opportunities to the members of the council through her Explore Your Parks program, Thin Mint Sprint and the Girl Talk program. She puts 120 percent into everything she does and is a role model to girls by embodying the spirit of making the world a better place.
Tina Pastrano, Excellence of Customer Service
Tina always projects a positive and friendly demeanor to every caller and visitor to our building. Even when faced with large amounts of visitors entering the building, she manages to transfer phone calls, makes sure visitors are signed in and getting to the right place, and works on assigned projects all while staying calm and most of all doing it with a smile. Tina provides extraordinary customer service in the daily hustle and bustle of our busy leadership center.
Iris Toledo, Execellence of Flexibility
Iris looks for ways to increase efficiency in the accounting department. She led the recent project to automate the payroll process and created a training for the staff and went the extra step to create a manual. As the department has made changes, she has not only embraced the changes but looked for ways to apply those changes to other areas in the department. Iris shows through her work and attitude, she is committed to supporting the organization by quickly adapting to any adjustments the council implements.
Denise Aguilar, Excellence of Flexibility
Denise consistently offers support to her team as well as the other members of MVP. She took the lead as Program Specialist in the SeaWorld San Antonio Cookie Rally and made it a huge success for girls and volunteers. She is dedicated to delivering the very best Girl Scout Leadership Experience and is committed to ensuring our organization’s mission and vision are upheld. She goes above and beyond in her duties, builds easy-to-use resources to make programmatic efforts run smoothly, helps with bilingual assistance when needed, never complains, and is always willing to take suggestions. Overall she is a helping hand and a “lead by example” woman for girls to look up to. She is a great friend, inspiring sister-Girl Scout, valuable employee, and a true leader -- for not only her team but all other GO Teams as well.
Kassaundra Escalera, Excellence of Creativity and Innovation
Kassaundra showed tremendous innovation throughout the entire Gamma Sigma Girls (GSG) recruiting process. She single-handedly created the GSG logo from scratch, designed teaser cards, posters, GSG brochures to recruit the girls, made invitations for the GSG investiture ceremony and came up with a professional recruiting plan to organize what was needed to be done. She truly takes pure joy in tweaking an idea and making it her own. Kassaundra was very persistent and positive when it came to contacting the various schools involved and made sure all 25 girls were recruited at each SAISD school. She is also very meticulous with her work and sees her projects through to the end; she does not like to do something just to get the job done. She prefers to carry out a polished idea that she deems is quality work and she will not finish something until it is to her high standards. I am amazed at her creativity every day and am very proud to call her my coworker.
Jean Larose, Excellence of Customer Service
Jean is a great spirit to have in the work environment. She is funny and welcoming. She has a very easy personality and seems to get along with everyone. Jean is very helpful as I have asked several random questions and receive an answer each time and without hesitation to offer her assistance. She exemplifies excellence in more than one of the categories by definition and is an irreplaceable asset to this organization.
Christina Frazier, Excellence of Commitment
Christina has been flexible this past year with the change to first, the Fund Development department and then to the creation of the Communications department and how the new Communications department works in collaboration with the new External Affairs department. She has also demonstrated her commitment to working with the council's new GO Team structure by fully embracing her work with the recruitment function team in the development of fresh marketing materials that are consistent with the new brand. She has provided valuable tools to help the entire council engage in consistent use of the new brand and has accepted responsibility for tasks previously not in her job description, including the design and ordering of business cards and employee name tags. Her commitment to the organization, flexibility, and sense of teamwork has allowed her to quickly accept a new way of work with a new supervisor and help take the accomplishments of the Communications department to the next level.
