Ray Flores is the Executive Director of the Westside Development Corporation (WDC), which was created by the San Antonio City Council to focus on economic development and the revitalization of a 15-square mile area west of downtown San Antonio. The priorities of the WDC are job creation, real estate development, business expansion and attraction, promotion of the area and policy change. Prior to this position, Ray was President of Flores Holdings, LLC, a real estate investment and consulting company. Flores Holdings, LLC, in partnership with private investors, acquired and redeveloped commercial properties within inner-city areas of San Antonio. Prior to starting his own company, Ray worked for Fannie Mae for nine years, in both Dallas and San Antonio. He is active in local civic activities, including as a board member of Family Service Association, member of the Development Council of San Antonio CAN! High School, Member of the Urban and Regional Planning Advisory Council for UTSA’s School of Architecture, member of the Property Committee of the GSSWT’s, member of United Way’s Strengthening Families Issues Council, Advisory board member of the Westside Education and Training Center, Member of the Westside Creeks Restoration Oversight Committee, a mentor in the Young Achiever’s Program of the Boys & Girls Club and a board member of the Harvard Club of San Antonio. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Harvard College and Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
