All new troop leaders should complete the online learning session Girl Scouting 101. Password: aboutGS101
Next, you should attend one of the GSSWT Welcome sessions. This 45 minute session is a basic introduction to GSSWT and covers most of the paperwork you'll need to complete to sign-up as a volunteer.
Third, you must attend one of the Troop Leadership Essentials sessions. This session will give you the information needed to organize and manage a Girl Scout troop for the troop pathway.
To enhance your understanding of your girls and to gain some age-specific techniques, you may want to attend on of the Grade-level Essentials sessions (Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette/Senior/Ambassador) sessions. These session are optional, but way helpful.
