Community Service in Memory of Troop 3055
As you may have heard, a terrible tragedy occurred on Saturday, November 3 in Lake Hallie, Wisconsin, involving a hit-and-run crash that killed three girls and one adult volunteer from Girl Scouts of Northwestern Great Lakes’ Troop 3055, leaving at least one other girl critically wounded.
At this difficult time, we turn our thoughts to our sister Girl Scouts in Wisconsin who are mourning the tragic news. We will be extending our 2nd Saturday programming at the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center (SCGSLC) on November 10 to participate in the nationwide vigil and community service gathering organized by Girl Scout Troop 4029 in Green Bay, Wisconsin (see their Facebook event online). In the spirit of community service, we will also host a card-making station for the Girl Scouts of Northwestern Great Lakes council and collect donations for our west side center’s Daisy’s Closet and Cupboard from 12 – 3 p.m.
