Given the importance of mental wellbeing in our lives and the prevalence of mental health and substance abuse challenges in youth today, we are now offering a Youth Mental Health First Aid certification course. This is a blended-learning course that consists of a two-hour, self-paced online course and a six-hour, virtual learning session with an instructor via Zoom. It is taught by a certified instructor and uses a nationally recognized curriculum developed by the National Council for Behavioral Health and Mental Health First Aid to teach adults how to respond and assist with youth aged 12-18. Participants who complete this course in full will receive a three-year certification through Mental Health First Aid.This course requires access to specific tech requirements such as email, consistent internet access, a working webcam/computer camera and microphone.

Online learning assignments must be completed in full before attending the virtual learning session with no exceptions.
