A Total Solar Eclipse is coming our way April 8! Get ready by learning about the sun and discovering how scientists study the solar wind it produces. Our friends from the NASA Small Explorer Mission, PUNCH, will be on hand at this come-and-go event featuring activities to inspire young astronomers. Play with a pinhole projector, dance up a solar storm, explore space weather, discover how the ancient people of the Southwest viewed the sun, and more! Girls can even create their own Scientist Trading Card inspired by the PUNCH Mission's own team cards.

Girls will earn and receive an Ancient & Modern Sun Watch patch. Experts from the PUNCH Outreach Team will be on site to lead girls though all the activities. Their patch curriculum is currently in development, so each girl who will be helping the team improve their patch for Girl Scouts across the country!

This event is free and open to tag-a-longs. Registration is not required but is recommended.
