Learn how to dance a Praise Dance that you will perform at the 15th Annual African American Advisory Committee (AAAC) Mother-Daughter Tea on Sunday, February 16. The Praise Dance draws on the rich tradition of the Ring Shout, and the movement style is a fusion of ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and gymnastics that communicates joy and celebration. Girls will earn the Dance badge for their program level.
- Rehearsal schedule is every Thursday between January 9 and February 13, for a total of 6 rehearsals. Participants must attend at least four of the six rehearsals (NO EXCEPTIONS) to perform. Registration for this event counts as a ticket to attend the AAAC Tea event on February 16, 2025 from 3 - 5 p.m.
- Participants must purchase the Praise Dance performance outfit, which will be discussed at the rehearsals with money due at a later date.
