Stop by the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center on Saturday, Nov. 12, for a day of learning and fun! We’re open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. For more information about events that require registration (including some not listed here), see the Event Calendar.
Activities for the day include:
- Help decorate a Gratitude Tree in the Girl Scout Shop and receive $5 off your purchase of $20 or more.
- Girls of all ages, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m., stop by (come-and-go) to learn about the importance of STEM and earn the Valero Energy Foundation’s STEM Initiative patch. Registration encouraged but not required.
- Troop Cookie Manager (TCM) in-person training for adult volunteers (free, register online), from 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
- Girls can enjoy creating cookie-related crafts to gear up for Girl Scout Cookie Season! From 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
- Meet-and-Greet with our very own Juliette Gordon Low! From 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., learn about her life and love of community service and how she founded Girl Scouts. Plus, enjoy hands-on activities making holiday cards and Thanksgiving placemats for seniors. Girls of all ages.
- Pick up information about San Antonio-area organizations your troop can support through community service.
- Adult volunteers can learn how to use the sewing machines in the Resource Center and create pet blankets out of old T-shirts (bring your own).
