Represent Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas and help carry the Texas
flag in the Battle of Flowers Parade. As flag carriers, you will be a
part of the parade's Vanguard to help lead the way for the parade
floats.
This event is for Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors,
Ambassadors, and adults who are 12 years and older. No tag-a-longs
allowed due to the age limits set by the Battle of Flowers Parade
committee.
Please wear your uniform vest/sash. The parade
length is 3.2 miles and travels 2.5 mph, so please wear comfortable
walking shoes.

GSSWT will provide
for each participant:
- Water refills
- End of parade
snacks & sports drinks
What to Bring: Water bottle,
Health History Forms for all girls and adults participating, and an
Activity or Trip Permission to Participate Form for girls
participating without an adult present. You can find these forms on
our Forms and Documents page under the Members section. These will be
collected at check-in.
Transportation: GSSWT will not
provide shuttles or transportation back to the forming area. All girls
and adults should plan their own transportation to and from the parade
ahead of time.
The parade begins a few blocks from San
Antonio College at East Locust St. and North Main Ave. Our forming
area will be the SAC Victory Center parking lot. The parade ends at
the intersection of West Martin St. and North Santa Rosa St. Please be
aware of any street closures due to the parade and plan accordingly.
