Presidential recognition sets you apart from your peers. It is a tremendous honor. Even though you may not seek recognition, your example can deliver a powerful message that encourages others to take action.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes United States citizens and lawfully admitted, permanent residents of the United States who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month time period or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime.

Presidential Volunteer Service Award Hour Log Form

These hours must be completed within a 12-month time period (May 1 - April 30). For Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, the 12-month period for your service is from May 1-April 30. All pins will be made available. The community service can be with Girl Scouts, church, school, or any other community service projects that you are involved in. Please note that no hours may be duplicated for any other organization or award excepting Girl Scout Higher Awards. You must keep a log of all the hours you have volunteered, the person in charge needs to sign that you have completed these hours, and indicate where you have been volunteering. You may type or handwrite your hours. If you handwrite, it must be in pen and legible. Your logged hours need to be turned in not later than April 30.
