Saddle up for a three-day, two-night adventure at Camp La Jita designed for Girl Scouts ready to take the reins as leaders! During this hands-on Equestrian Aide (EA) training, girls will dive into all aspects of horse care, grooming, tack, and riding techniques while developing the skills to assist younger campers in their equestrian experiences. The training culminates with participants leading a group of Daisies and Brownies through a special day of horse-filled fun.

Girls must successfully complete the full training session in order to qualify as an Equestrian Aide for summer camp. Those who pass the training can sign up to serve as an Equestrian Aide during a summer session, which is a unique opportunity to build leadership, riding skills, and unforgettable memories in the horse program.

Check in and drop off: 9-10 a.m. Training session starts at 10:30 a.m.
Pick up time: Monday, November 24, from 3-3:30 p.m.

Completion of training: Receive Equestrian Aide certificate and can work at an EA at Camp La Jita in the horse program.

Once registration is complete, confirmation will be emailed with packing list and required paperwork. Fee can also be paid by troop funds and Cookie Credits.

Notes: Must have 20 girls for the training.
