Take the Stress Out of Camping! Have you wanted to take your troop camping but weren't sure where to start? CORE Camp 2026 is the perfect opportunity to introduce your Girl Scouts to the outdoors without the stress of planning every detail yourself.
Developed by the Volunteer Advisory Committee, CORE Camp is a council-supported weekend experience designed for Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador troops. From the moment you arrive at beautiful Camp La Jita, your troop will enjoy a weekend filled with outdoor adventure, teamwork, leadership, and classic Girl Scout traditions while experienced staff help guide the experience.
Throughout the weekend, girls will participate in guided outdoor activities, learn practical camping and outdoor skills, enjoy team-building challenges, gather around the campfire, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Whether your troop is attending its very first campout or you're simply looking for a fun weekend away together, CORE Camp provides a welcoming environment where girls can build confidence, strengthen friendships, and discover a love for the outdoors.
To maximize camp space and provide the best experience for everyone, troop participation includes a minimum of four registered Girl Scouts and two registered co-leaders, with additional camp staff available throughout the weekend to support troops as needed. Girls and adults will stay in assigned air-conditioned cabins, and a structured schedule allows leaders to spend less time worrying about logistics and more time making memories with their girls.
Location: Camp La Jita
Dates: October 16-18, 2026
Cost: $35 per girl and adult co-leader
Registration Opens: September 1
Registration Deadline: September 15
Pack your gear, bring your troop, and let us handle the rest. CORE Camp is all about creating confident campers, stronger troops, and unforgettable Girl Scout adventures. Whether you're roasting marshmallows around the campfire, learning a new outdoor skill, or cheering each other on through team challenges, this is one weekend your girls won't want to miss!
