Location: Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center (811 N Coker Loop)
Discover the fun of sewing in this hands-on club designed especially for beginners! Participants will build their skills throughout the year, beginning with sewing straight lines and learning how to safely and confidently use a sewing machine. As their skills grow, they will create quilt squares, make festive felt ornaments, learn how to read and follow sewing patterns, and complete their own skirt. Each project will introduce new techniques while giving participants the opportunity to practice, be creative, and gain confidence. The club will conclude with a special fashion show where participants can proudly model their finished skirts and celebrate everything they have learned.
Classes meet on the second Saturday of each month from 9-11 a.m. at the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center. The November and December classes will be held at the West Side Girl Scout Leadership Center. No previous sewing experience is needed!
