Step back in time and walk where giants once roamed! Join us for a guided hike at Government Canyon State Natural Area as we explore real dinosaur tracks preserved in the rock. Girls will learn about the prehistoric creatures that once lived in Texas, discovering how the tracks were formed. This hike is approximately 5 miles roundtrip and rated moderate in difficulty, with uneven terrain and some elevation changes. Participants should wear sturdy hiking shoes, bring water, and be prepared for outdoor conditions.  

 

Please arrive by 9:15 a.m. as the hike will start at 9:30 a.m.

 

Cost includes day use, badge, and snack.  

 

Juniors will earn the Junior Eco Camper Badge, Cadettes will earn the Cadette Trail Adventure Badge, Senors will earn the Senior Trail Adventure Badge, and Ambassadors will earn the Ambassador Trail Adventure Badge.
