Build confidence with one of the most useful outdoor tools while learning how to use it safely and responsibly. This 30-minute Skill Boost focuses on proper knife handling, safety practices, and basic knife skills commonly used in outdoor and camping settings.

Participants will learn when knife use is appropriate, how to handle and pass a knife safely, and basic techniques that support outdoor activities while aligning with Girl Scout safety guidelines. This session is ideal for preparing girls and volunteers for camping experiences and skill progression.

What to Expect:

Overview of knife safety rules and expectations.

Demonstration of proper handling and storage.

Introduction to basic knife skills and best practices.

Emphasis on responsibility and safety-first decision making.

Time & Format:

30-minute sessions - After registration, a follow-up email will be sent to each participant to choose their session time.
