Outdoor experiences allow girls to discover their strengths and
skills, connect with their environment, and take action to make the
world a better place. Each troop needs one adult who is Troop Camp
Leadership (TCL) certified to take girls camping. Men and women 18 and
older are eligible but must have a current Girl Scout membership and
cleared background check on file with Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas.
This two-part blended learning course includes an online portion in
gsLearn (two knowledge checks with passing grades of 80% and above on
both) and an in-person skills session (overnight campout) at location
TBD.
Please note: You will need to provide your own tent for the
in-person training; limited quantities are available to borrow from
the Resource Center via reservation. This is an overnight program to
complete an in-person skills check. Food will be provided; let us know
if you have any special dietary needs.
