Week 1: June 21-25—Creative Expressions

Registration Deadline: June 18 $175

Imagine a world where your creativity comes alive with exploding art, creepy crawly crafts, painting with your feet and more silliness.

Join us as we explore the culture of new art!

Week 2: June 28-July 2—Winter Wonderland Texas Style

Registration Deadline: June 18 | $175

The weather outside may be frightful but at camp this week, it's delightful! Enjoy wintery crafts, decorate with candy and create snow.

Week 3: July 7-9 (3 days)—Inventor’s Workshop

Registration Deadline: June 25 | $100

Are you the next Barbara Askins (inventor of the method to enhance under-exposed photographic negatives) or maybe you are Sarah Goode, the first African American to be granted a U.S. patent!

Bring your fabulous wacky ideas and join us at the Inventor’s Workshop to discover how inventions changed our world.

Week 4: July 12-16—Fashionista

Registration Deadline: July 2 | $175

What do Vans, Forever 21, Hollister, Converse and Dior have in common? Fashion designers are inspired by their love of fashion. Discover how thread, needles, scissors and measuring tapes play a role in designing and explore the world of fashion. Learn how to turn a piece of fabric into a unique fashion you can wear.

Week 5: July 19-23—Buggin’ Out

Registration Deadline: July 9 | $175

Get up close and personal with nature’s smallest neighbors! Get down and dirty as we explore nature in search of our six-legged, eight-legged and no-legged friends. Using nature as our tool, anything is possible with imagination.

Week 6: July 26-30—Kinder Camp Metro-Mysteries and Riddles (for Kinder only)

Registration Deadline: July 16 | $175

Become a detective at Camp Metro Detective Agency and uncover the mystery. Participate in scavenger hunts and figure out the hidden codes to unlock the riddle. Every day is a mystery, and anything can happen.

Week 7: Aug. 2-6—Kinder Camp Metro-Zootopia (for Kinder only)

Registration Deadline: July 23 | $175

It's time for music in nature! Put on your listening ears and dancing shoes. Campers will learn about the sounds and movements animals make. After learning about various animals, campers will have the chance to show off a few moves themselves!


About Camp Metro

Camp Metro day camps are held at the West Side Girl Scout Leadership Center, a nearly 40,000 sq. ft. building, which offers a gymnasium, outside play equipment, STEM lab and art studio as well as a stage for girls to perform.

Sessions include a t-shirt, patch, breakfast, lunch & snack, supplies, before & after care and a field trip at no additional cost.  NOTE: 20% discount for Edgewood ISD students

  • Camp activities Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. with before care beginning at 7 a.m. and after care until 6 p.m. available at no additional cost.
  • Drop off and pick up available from the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center
  • Each week concludes with a camper showcase for parents on Thursday from 3-3:30 p.m.

Quick Pass Tag

Save Time and Complete Pre-Check-In!

Quick pass tags will save you time at camp check-in. Once you have registered girl(s) for camp session and complete all information on for your camper(s) to 100%, quick pass tags will be prepared and either mailed to you before camp or available on the first day of camp at check-in. Remember, all information in must be completed and a green checkmark is displayed next to all online forms.

There will be curbside drop off at both Camp La Jita and Camp Metro following COVID protocols to limit numbers on the properties.

  • If you have a current photo of your camper, please upload it to or bring it to your pre-check-in visit and we can help get it uploaded.

NOTE: You will be asked to upload your camper’s immunization record in for both GSSWT camps. Also, Camp La Jita campers (only) will need to upload a licensed physician's health examination form. Each camper who attends resident camp must have a record of a health examination given by a licensed physician. You will find other important downloads in specific to your camp.
