You’ve helped your community, faced big challenges, discovered new passions, and made forever friends. So, what’s next? Anything you can dream up! There's so much more to explore with your Girl Scout crew. An incredible journey begins now: Sign up for another year by September 30 and keep the excitement going.
Stop by the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center this Saturday, August 12, for Back to Troop fun! We’ll be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Did your Girl Scout come back from camp missing an item ... or two? Our lost and found from Camp La Jita is set up at the Resource Center at the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center, and tables with these items will be set up for Second Saturday this weekend. Please come and pick up your item(s). Belongings that are left unclaimed will be donated to charity. For more information, please contact our Customer Care Department at customercare@girlscouts-swtx.org.
Be on the lookout Monday, August 28, for a brand new Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas website! We’re migrating to a site that looks similar to the Girl Scouts of the USA site, and we can’t wait for you to see it. Everything you need to make your Girl Scout experience great will be at your fingertips. More details coming soon!
Mark your calendars: STEM Expo returns Saturday, September 30, with a day of fun activities for the entire family.
Learn about all things science, technology, engineering, and math - from robots to science experiments, from virtual reality to environmental awareness. Enjoy hands-on experiences, tackle new skills, and expand your world. Registration opens soon!
Join us on Sunday, October 8, at Hemisfair’s Yanaguana Garden as we celebrate what makes girls special at the fifth annual Day of the Girl SA. This year’s theme: "Yo soy una nina. What’s your superpower?"
Being a girl is a superpower all on its own, but girls have more than one. Is it your courage? Your kindness? Your love of animals? There’s no wrong answer!
Enjoy a day filled with hands-on fun that focuses on the ways each girl is unique and can make a difference in the world, including activities about the annual solar eclipse taking place Saturday, Oct. 14. We’ll have food trucks, girl DJs, a photo booth, and plenty more to keep the whole family engaged.
Put on your cape and show everyone what makes you awesome! More details coming soon.
Would you like to represent the council in a visible way? Do you live Girl Scouts and want to tell others about it? Then we'd love to have you join our PR Team for 2023-2024!
Girls on the PR Team have the opportunities to participate in media appearances (TV, print/digital, radio), event participation (flag ceremonies, representing the council, being on a panel, etc.), photoshoots, and more. Girls must complete the application and interview process before joining the team.
Deadline to apply: August 31
You don’t need access to a national park or the woods to enjoy the outdoors! So put yourself out there with us and participate in our Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors Challenge.
Spending at least 120 minutes a week in nature is associated with good health and well-being, even if you spend that time becoming a rock star at rock climbing or making a splash in the puddles around your neighborhood.
Download our free activity sheet to see what's possible right outside your own front door today! You can also purchase a special Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors patch.
We're looking for volunteers to help fill important roles in our Communities - from Chair positions to Product Program managers and Membership Coordinators. This is a great way to get involved in the council and make a difference and other adult volunteers as well as girls.
For more information, please reach out to our Customer Care Department at customercare@girlscouts-swtx.org and ask to be connected to a Volunteer Experience Specialist.
